Dream of better days is you wish.
If you're a realist, then read on:

We can do this in a civilized way, or we can invite chaos.
Those are the only two options.
So far, all rich nations on the planet have chosen option number two,
America first of all.

If you actually "trust" the average police officer then you are a fool. Do you realize that we have actually slipped into a fascist existence without the formal announcement? Your local police are no longer your defender or friend. They are generally now just militant--with the big threat of the "state" behind them. You are always wrong and they are always right. You have no rights. You have no standing. You have no position.

They will accost you on the streetside and accost you in your home. Did you send your kids to "safety town" last year? If so, you have indoctrinated your children to befriend the beast that will eventually consume them.

The Days of Our Trailers...a good read:

My name is kaveman...and I, uh...have a problem.

The roots of it can be traced to my childhood, where I looked up in awe to such figures as Batman(wielding dual .45's originally) and Superman. I always thought Spiderman was kinda gay. Not "wiener in the butt kinda gay" but more of a what a lame super-hero kinda gay.

"The problem is that many, perhaps most, of those employed in law enforcement do not see "protecting and serving" as their primary duty, but rather as one incidental to their fratneral responsibilities to each other and their obligations to the state that employs them."

There is so much going on in the news today that it is impossible to keep up. The Obama administration is moving swiftly to keep everyone at bay as they nationalize industries, socialize health care and serfity taxpayers. We are in serious trouble. If you are not awake yet, time is running out to stop this Orwellian administration. Americans need to wake up to the fact that we are fast becoming a Corporatist-Nationalist-Socialist-Fascist-Police State! It is happening quickly. It is all over the news folks!

  • Industries being nationalized
  • A quiet socialist revolution taking place in health care
  • Police forces from coast to coast out of control
  • A president apologizing to foreign terrorists
  • Spending money at an alarming rate--money we do NOT have
  • Doubling the national debt in less than 24 months
  • Wall Street in control of federal policy
  • Veiled "bankrupties" that ignore the rule of law
  • A stock market that booms as a company like GM falls
  • Banks hording bailout money
  • People hording ammunition and guns

If you haven't noticed, we are putting the recipe together very slowly for a major falling out very soon. I am not sure enough people are paying attention. I think the little "uptick" in the market was just enough to lull everyone back to sleep! Wow, time to buy more McMansions, SUVs and Chinese toasters! What the hell are we thinking?

It’s Getting Very Serious Now

Chuck Baldwin
NewsWithViews
May 12, 2009

First, it was a Missouri Analysis and Information Center (MIAC) report; then it was a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report; now it is a New York congressman’s bill. Each of these items, taken on their own, is problematic enough; taken together they portend “a clear and present danger” to the liberties of the American people. It is getting very serious now. (cont.)

Just so we're all clear: We are turning quickly into a FASCIST POLICE STATE. We are in for some serious trouble (and there will be serious consequences) if we continue down this path. I'm not sure how it happened but we have some very serious issues on our hands. We are basically now living under FASCIST rule. Think about that.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Who owns this joint? The Borah Building in downtown Boise provides temporary office space for Governor Butch Otter, who -- as a state employee -- doesn't actually own the building, nor does he pay the rent. So by what supposed right does the Governor, or any of his lickspittles, file a "trespassing" complaint against one of the citizens who do own that property?

This is a must see folks. Just 50 years ago, the future was crystal clear. We need not accept the "ISM's" when we have the choice of LIBERTY AND FREEDOM:

Everyone should read this article. It is a FABULOUS representation of how far we have fallen. If "we" (as in we the people) do not change course soon, we will no longer the nation we know and love. Time is truly running out. Please take a read:

How Things Change Out From Under Us

Paul Craig Roberts
Chronicles Magazine
April 28, 2009

Anyone who has been around for a while and who pays any attention to the news sees many disturbing changes. Recently, I read a report that two children, ages seven and eight, had an altercation at school during recess. They were carted off in handcuffs by the police. The teachers or principal had dealt with the boys’ disagreement by calling in the law.

When I was a kid there were no age limits to the Second Amendment.

I wonder if the kids now have felonious assault records that will cancel their Second Amendment rights when they come of age.

When I was a kid there were no age limits to the Second Amendment. We all had firearms before we reached puberty. Anyone with the money could purchase a .22 caliber rifle at the local hardware store. If you were too young to see over the counter, the proprietor might call your parents to get an OK. You could purchase .22 caliber ammunition and shotgun shells at most any gas station.

None of us ever shot anyone or any farmer’s cow or mule. There were no gun accidents among my armed companions.

My grandmother never batted an eye when I walked out of her farmhouse with my grandfather’s shotgun. Guns were just a routine item. We all learned gun safety from the Boy Scouts. My grandmother only became concerned for my safety when I became the proud owner of a spirited horse..." (continued)

This is potentially big and it's something we better pay close attention to as it has the possibility to crumble what is left of the housing market:

Housing Bubble Smackdown:
Bigger Crash Ahead

"Lenders nationwide are sitting on hundreds of thousands of foreclosed homes that they have not resold or listed for sale, according to numerous data sources. And foreclosures, which banks unload at fire-sale prices, are a major factor driving home values down."

"We believe there are in the neighborhood of 600,000 properties nationwide that banks have repossessed but not put on the market," said Rick Sharga, vice president of RealtyTrac, which compiles nationwide statistics on foreclosures..." (cont.)

So it looks like there's a good chance the banksters are mounting another blackmail scheme against the American taxpayer: Just threaten to sell all of the foreclosed-upon houses at firesale prices all at once unless we cough up more bailouts. Stop feed the banks; we're all going to live to regret it.

A word to the wise: Whether or not President Obama is pushing some of the agenda we have before us, it is his responsibility to adjudicate the problems presented by PELOSI, REID DODD, FRANK, etc. (all of which are communists and should be hung). Now, more to the point:

If you care to know, the Federal Government is spiraling out of control. At the Federal level, we are being CONSUMED folks. Is it by design? I'm not sure. Is it a reality: YES IT IS.

Several Shot, Dozens of Hostages Taken at Immigration Center in Upstate New York

Does this type of sensational reporting ever strike you as odd? When is the last time you read a headline about something exciting or good? We are fixated on death and fantasy. One fantasy that is about to explode in our collective faces, however, is this propped-up economy and standard of living. Buy food, ammo and guns. You will need it sooner rather than later. All signs point toward utter disaster.

Clearly your Congress could care less about your opinion. Your life today--right now--is controlled by people like Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, etc. They own you. They are driving you into complete and total devastation.

Guns, Gold, Secession

By Karen De Coster

There is a secession movement afoot and its proponents are determined to put a halt to the federal government’s ambitions to destroy and reconstruct an entire economy and dissolve the last remnants of individual liberty. Twenty-eight states are invoking the law of the land, the U.S. Constitution, by rolling out legislation to assert their sovereignty as free states in order to keep from being undermined by the never-ending swarm of unrestrained federal decrees. (cont.)

Beware the class warfare instigated by the Federal Government as a ruse to grab more power in its quest to socialize America. Our enemy is not each other; rather, it is the purposeful actions of several presidential administrations, U.S. Congress and invisible mega-bankers.

Class War in America

By Richard Baehr

Let us disregard all those contributions to Chris Dodd, Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, and the Democratic Senate and House campaign committees from AIG, and Wall Street firms. Let us ignore the role of Barney Frank in the mortgage mischief of FNMA. Let's forget about FNMA CEO Franklin Raines, walking away with $120 million in a severance package (where are those demands for payback of bonuses from executives who looted the nation, and cost it tens of billions in bailout money?).

Populism has been let loose in America, and it is a dangerous thing. Republicans are not free of exploiting this disease of course (Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley encouraging AIG executives to commit suicide!). At the moment, I am rereading Eric Hoffer's classic from 1951: The True Believer. This longshoreman intellectual wrote the playbook for the Obama campaign -- the exploitation of the frustrated to make them think change is needed, and there is new hope for the future.

A mass movement is being created in America. Mass movements are not nuanced. They need good guys and bad guys, and an emotional desire to ruthlessly steamroller the bad guys. The left attacked George Bush for creating a simplistic division of the world into good guys and bad guys, and for using terminology like the axis of evil.

We are seeing something similar now, but not for use in unifying the country for a targeted conflict abroad, but for use in changing the very foundations of our economy. The anger and scapegoating that has been unleashed will not easily be bottled, and of course, it is useful for those who seek foundational change. (cont.)

3/31/09

Took a little time off for the past few weeks from posting the demise of the American way of life due to the increased demands of business. You see (as if you don't know already), firearms and ammunition are in high demand at the moment.

Dealers across the nation are having a difficult time keeping up with demand of either. The greatest challenge is ammunition at the moment: it is just plain scarce.

So how does it feel to be led around by the nose by Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Christopher Dodd, Maxine Waters, et al? Feel good does it?

We are in a world of hurt folks. Our way of life is crumbling around us due to the true lack of representation we have in the United States Congress.

Do you smoke? How about chew tobacco? Well, on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 (April Fools!), you will end up being the fool as you pay $7 - 10 per pack for cigarettes and $35 -55 for a pouch of loose tobacco! Hmm, I just love how this country operates.

Let's review in abbreviation:

1. Work for Wall Street or a major financial institution? You are golden.

2. Work as a regular man or woman in middle America? You are fucked.

Those two points are all you need to know about the world you live in today. That's it. You need know nothing more because nothing else really matters. It sums up our past, present and future. We have been SOLD OUT BY THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS.

The government (at nearly all levels) is into your pocket for nearly 75% of everything you earn....and it is going to get worse.

We are running short on time folks. We must take our country back from the fools soon. This is not a soap opera or episode of American Idol. This is real shit and we are on the losing end.

This summer is going to be a precarious period in the history of the USA. More to follow...

Revolution in the Air

It's getting impossible to keep up with the rhetoric and political noise surrounding AIG, the banks, and executive bonuses. Will the government try to rein in executive pay generally, rather than just at AIG? Is this an example of the kind of misguided policy and mass hysteria which results when you try to put politicians in charge of for-profit businesses? Will it wreck the economy outright? Or is the real problem that "the administration's officials are too marinated in the insiders' culture to police it, reform it or own up to their own past complicity with it"?

Why the End of America is Closer than
You Think

Perhaps more importantly, America has abandoned the principle of law. Laws no longer matter in America because they are selectively enforced only against those who threaten powerful institutions or corporations. America is no longer a nation of freedom and justice for all. Rather, it is a nation of greed and profit for the few, followed by oppression and bankruptcy for everybody else (cont).

Rush Limbaugh to NY: Drop Dead

“So I'll tell you what I'm going to do,” Limbaugh continued. “I'm going to look for an alternative studio somewhere outside New York, perhaps Texas -- another no-income-tax state -- and I'm going to get the hell over there, when a hurricane starts coming our way, 'cause I told Mayor Bloomberg: I'll be the first to lead the way. “ (cont.)

Reduced Standards of Living

What’s going on now is nature’s way of telling you that America’s standard of living has to be reduced by something between 20 and 50 percent.  You can have it in the form of a compressive deflationary depression, including widespread bankruptcies… or you can have by way of inflation, in which money loses its value.  But there’s one basic qualification to this: the way down is not symmetrical with the way up.  That is, it’s really not just a matter of ratcheting down to a standard of living half of what it was, say, in 2006, because in the event all the various complex systems that support everyday life enter failure mode before our society re-sets at a theoretically lower level of equilibrium.

By this I mean our methods for getting food, for moving about the landscape, for deploying capital, for trading and manufacturing, for schooling, doctoring, and running public services all destabilize and, to some degree or other, fail to deliver their contribution to normal daily life.  Banking (capital deployment) is already mortally wounded.  It remains to be seen how this will affect the food supply half a year ahead in the harvest season (cont.)

China's Weak Gambit On A
Currency Shift

China is calling for a move toward an obscure international currency known as SDRs (Special Drawing Rights) used by the IMF, to replace the U.S. dollar. The proposal on first blush suggests China is concerned with looming inflation in the U.S. and the devaluation of the debt it holds. While a reasonable concern, why would it push for such a dramatic shift? (cont.)

Oooommmmmmmmm

As return readers know, my mantra with regard to the coming economic (and societal) collapse is frightening simple: The "Growth" upon which we have come to rely in order to maintain our "way of life" is done, finished. Ever since Tricky Dick unilaterally took us off of the gold standard in 1971 we have been hurdling toward this moment in time. We have clung desperately to the illusion of growth for decades, and now that illusion has been summarily smashed to bits on the rocky shores of a Ponzi economy and hundreds of trillions of dollars in unserviceable debt. It's really that simple. We have existed, subsisted, for decades upon the "wealth" created by growth that wasn't in fact growth at all. It was debt. And without sustained growth, we die. Society collapses. But we CANNOT grow anymore because our Ponzi world has reached the end of the line. There's no more money to bilk because there's no more money! And so the only direction is down. Nature abhors a vacuum. Down, down, down. (cont.)

Kansans Vote On
Gun Ownership Amendment

Next year, Kansans will vote whether to change the state constitution to guarantee individual gun rights.

“It is the law of the land today in every state. They (supporters) would like to make sure it stays that way in Kansas,” said Senate Majority Leader Derek Schmidt, an Independence Republican. (cont.)

Dark Musings, 2009-03-24

Of course the whole notion of repairing bank balance sheet is a lie and misdirection. The balance sheets we should want to see repaired are household balance sheets. Banks have failed us profoundly. We want them reorganized, not repaired. A world in which the banks are all fixed but households are still broken is worse than what we have right now. Too-big-to-fail banks restored to health are too-big-to-fail banks restored to power. The idea that fixing legacy banks is prerequisite to fixing the broad economy is a lie perpetrated by legacy bankers. (cont.)

Is the Federal Government Tightening the Noose Around its Neck or Yours?

Calling All (Soon To Be) Criminals

"...Many wonder out loud what those in the military will do, when, not if, the government moves to confiscate those nasty black guns from American citizens. If they have taken the time to reflect on their oath of enlistment in which they swore to uphold and defend the Constitution, against all enemies, foreign and domestic, the answer should be obvious. Any enemy of the Constitution should immediately become the enemy of those sworn to defend it. Nowhere in the oath is a commitment to support the government..."

Here is a tribute to Citigroup and
Bank of America:

No more federal bailout money for these insolvent banks! Listen up America, we are being sold down the river on a daily basis! The stock market is now an official sham! Your 401K is never coming back in your lifetime! We are going to continue to give money to these insolvent banks for what? Save a system that is beyond saving? Citigroup and Bank of America are going bankrupt no matter what we do. We are only giving them more bailout money now to pay off the fat cats and international investors from Europe, China and the Middle East. Your federal gooberment is more interested in keeping the rich rich than keep you out of the gutter!

NO MORE LOANS FOR PRIVATE COMPANIES!
LET THEM ALL FAIL!

I have read some really good articles and editorials today but the one word of advice I think is worthy to pass along (and means the most as we need to send a signal to the government and the banks):

GET YOUR MONEY
OUT OF THE BANKS!

2-20-09

Once we break out of what has been a relatively disturbing and cold winter season, I submit to you that most Americans (of the non-sheople species) will begin to think about what has occurred to them since November, 2008. I will recommend some considerations throughout the day but here is the first:

Sixpence None the Wiser

"...Whoever holds government debt owns a piece of your current wealth and your future income. They will tax us for all of eternity to pay interest to foreign countries. In time, the dollar will be worthless, and then what will they demand from us to pay the debt they put on our heads?.."

This is a post from Mish's Global Economic Trend Analysis. It is a great site to learn about trends and get insights on what other people think about our economic situation, stocks, commodities, trends, etc. Here's the blogspot post:

From an earlier post same day: A lot of those families "resigned to financial ruin" would be better off renting. This isn't about them. Its about the banks.

"...Bingo. Everyone accusing Obama of being a socialist just doesn't get it. Nothing he's doing actually helps the "homeowners," as it is merely a short-term patch to a long-term problem. They will still lose the house, just later rather than sooner, and meanwhile, the Banksters reap $275 billion in essentially free money.

This keeps them afloat for a while longer, and enables them to suck out even more cash before the whole hosue of cards fall. It's not socialism, it's fascism. The socialist solution to the problem would be to cram down the mortgage on the house to its current value, then have a newly-founded government-owned bank buy out the mortgage from the bank, and re-mortgage the house to the "homeowner" at something like 4% on a 30-year note.

That would be socialism; what they are going to do is merely robbing Peter to pay Paul for Joe's mortgage, then cutting Joe loose down the line, and then using Peter and Joe's taxes to buy out Pauls' bank once he's sucked all the cash out of it..."

Very sad and very true. Don't be fooled by the last vestiges of a slowing economy. Just because Sandra Pianalto is a fool doesn't mean we have to be one too.

Read this one and weep. Who is in charge of this mess? I say try them for treason and lead them to a firing squad:

Let me be frank about a few things that are of the utmost importance:

  1. The economy (any economy) is simply a fabrication that exists only in the construct of our minds. It is not real. Money is not real. Debts and services are not truly real. We only play this game based upon what we have learned.
  2. If we truly had the desire to solve our current economic crisis then the solution is at hand: Do a "system clear" on the entire economy. Start over. No one loses and no one wins. Everything simply starts over. No suppliers lose. No retailers lose. Everything is simply "zeroed" out and we start over from scratch. You think the rocket scientists in the U.S. Congress thinks of anything original? Of course they do not. They are primarily a bunch of scumbag attorneys with the intellect of a frickin' goat. Do you know how law school works? Here's the secret: Do puzzles and learn how to memorize. Poof, now you're a frickin' attorney.
  3. Our economic "crisis" is only a crisis in name only. We can solve it easily. All debts are simply cancelled. Think it wouldn't work? Think again because "cancelling" debt is quite simple. No creditor and no debtor suffers. We zero the system and start over.
  4. There is, of course, the question of our massive foreign credtors. I say that's pretty easily solved too: Screw you. Problem solved.
  5. Don't like the answer China? Then jump like a frog. We are quite capable of eliminating the very frabic of your slave society. You suck. I frankly hate you.

Mississippi... Legislation Passes Protecting
Gun Owners During Martial Law

Mississippi lawmakers have passed a bill to protect the state’s residents during martial law. On the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Mississippi website, Phil Bryant announces the passage of SB 2036. The legislation “restricts the power of a peace officer to confiscate firearms and ammunitions in an emergency or during a time of martial law,” according to the website.

It is significant that Lieutenant Governor Bryant mentions the law applies to martial law.

The Hell With Our Constitution

"...Until the 1930s, the Constitution served as a major constraint on federal economic interventionism. The government's powers were understood to be just as the framers intended: few and explicitly enumerated in our founding document and its amendments. Search the Constitution as long as you like, and you will find no specific authority conveyed for the government to spend money on global-warming research, urban mass transit, food stamps, unemployment insurance, Medicaid, or countless other items in the stimulus package and, even without it, in the regular federal budget..."

The Constitutional Crisis

The U.S. Government has abandoned
the Rule of Law as defined by the People
via the Constitution.

The numerous crises currently confronting our Republic are not the result of poor political policies.  These evils are the direct result of decades of violations of the U.S. Constitution by our servant Government.

In defiance of the natural Sovereignty of the People,
the Government has steadfastly, and repeatedly, ignored the Petitions of the People seeking Redress for these most egregious violations of their Fundamental Rights and cherished Freedoms.

The tide of history is upon us. Our Liberty may soon be forever lost unless the People rise quickly, peacefully and forcefully to restore Constitutional Order to the Republic.

Thankfully, our Founders left us a powerful, but little-known weapon in the Law to peacefully secure Redress without relying upon fixed elections, corrupted courts or resorting to the exercise of the Right of Revolution embodied by the Second Amendment.

It's time to get organized and exercise this profound Constitutionally protected Right.

Four quotes from an article everyone should read:

1. "...The staggering wealth accumulated in the top one percent of American society over last 25 years is directly bound up with the deterioration of the economy, the decline of industry and the impoverishment of the working class. The enormous personal fortunes of the elite have been built up on hedge funds, the leveraging of debt and other forms of financial speculation. This has entailed an enormous transfer of resources out of manufacturing and into finance, and out of the working class and into the pockets of those who have played the critical role not only in destroying living standards, but in setting the stage for the present disaster..."

2. "...The subordination of the whole of society to the financial aristocracy is most clearly expressed in the massive bailout of Wall Street. Its political representatives, Democrats and Republican alike, hand over trillions to the biggest banks, while providing no provisions for the masses of people who have lost their jobs and homes..."

3. "...The solution to the economic crisis is not a technical question but a social, political and revolutionary settling of accounts, and a historical necessity. At a certain point in the late 18th century, it became necessary for the oppressed classes of France to rise up and destroy the power and privileges of the nobility. In the America of the 1860s, the only resolution to the “irrepressible conflict” was the destruction of the “slave power” in the South..."

4. "...At this point it is necessary to destroy the political and economic power of the financial aristocracy. A resolution to the economic crisis can only begin with an independent mass movement of the working class that aims to break the political stranglehold of the financial elite over society; the development, to be blunt, of a revolutionary movement..."

Here is the LINK to the full article on Infowars.com.

So what does all of this mean? I find that it is increasily easy to read between the lines of the Wall Street bailout packages and the current "stimulus" plan whirling through both houses of Congress. My take on the overall situation is rather simple: The Obama Administration (and they are not unique in this regard) is trying to PACIFY THE MASSES for a little while longer while they shore up their bottom lines and ensure CONTROL over the unrest that is building.

America is losing jobs at lightning speed. We are destined to destroy the value of the dollar. Foreign investors are shying away from buying our debts. We have already lost the majority of our industrial capacity. So what is left? Well, according to the "SPENDULUS PLAN," the Federal Government is about to throw some bones to the masses:

- Extend and increase unemployment benefits
- Bailout state governments
- Build schools for children with no future job market
- More money for Medicaid
- Anemic tax cuts
- Etc. etc. etc.

What this all amounts to is "buying time" and pacification. The American people need to pull their collective heads out of their asses and pay attention to what is going on. We are being pacified for a while longer so the idiots on Capitol Hill can shore up their personal balance sheets and prepare for the onslaught that is just around the corner.

Take a look at these numbers from The Automatic Earth blogspot:

  • The United States population is roughly 305,000,000
  • About 79% of Americans live in cities or suburbs
  • Over 50% live in cities with populations over 50,000
  • Over 250 cities in the U.S. have over 100,000 people
  • 9 cities have more than 1 million residents
  • There are roughly 6000 registered hospitals in the US
  • 10 to 15% of Americans live below the poverty line
  • In 2007, 37.3 million Americans lived in poverty.
  • The richest 10% of Americans possess 70% of the wealth
  • The top 1% possesses 33.4% of net wealth.
  • Government activity accounts for about 12% of GDP.
  • The service sector accounts for about 65% of GDP
  • The leading sector by income is finance and insurance
  • Agriculture accounts for less than 1% of GDP
  • About 150 million people “are” employed with earnings
  • 80% are full-time jobs
  • 79% are employed in the service sector
  • Health care is the leading field of employment
  • There are roughly 70 million public school students
  • There are about 25 million businesses in the US
  • Small businesses are about 50% of the workforce
  • Roughly 29 million children get free lunch
  • There are roughly 95,000 public schools in the U.S.
  • There are roughly 6.8 million teachers
  • The national average salary for teachers is $45,000
  • Average 4 year college tuition, about $35,000
  • About $8,000 per-pupil is spent
  • 26,300 food pantries in the United States

Now take a look at this graph:

(Click for a sharper image)

You will have to form your own conclusions with this information but I am inclined to believe that the Federal Government (despite which pathetic party is in control) is constructing a spending bill and Wall Street bailout for no other reason than to buy time for the eventual collapse of the dollar and our economy. Why buy time? Well, wouldn't you want some time to prepare for 150 million angry Americans?

ATTENTION U.S. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT:

We the people OWN YOU and not the other way around!

It appears as though a number of individual states are about to provide a wake-up call that enough is enough! We insist that you cease and desist with all of your initiatives and taxes and regulations! The U.S. Congress has presided over the destruction of our economy and now we have whackos like Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi trying to fix it? Give us a break!

The U.S. Congress and the President's new administration appears to be filled with crooks and tax cheats from our vantage point. We have let the Federal Government usurp far too much control and the end is near.

I urge you to re-read the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence again!

The Obama presidency: Here comes socialism

2009-2010 will rank with 1913-14, 1933-36, 1964-65 and 1981-82 as years that will permanently change our government, politics and lives. Just as the stars were aligned for Wilson, Roosevelt, Johnson and Reagan, they are aligned for Obama. Simply put, we enter his administration as free-enterprise, market-dominated, laissez-faire America.

We will shortly become like Germany, France, the United Kingdom, or Sweden — a socialist democracy in which the government dominates the economy, determines private-sector priorities and offers a vastly expanded range of services to many more people at much higher taxes.

Think about what is occurring before you folks. Our country is being stolen right before our eyes. Our national anthem? It no longer applies. Our military? It will become irrelevant except in the instances when it is used against Americans. If we do not change the course of current events soon, you should look forward to a disasterous future.

Love Big Brother or Make a Stand Now
In the end, Winston Smith, the rebel in Orwell’s 1984, is brought to Room 101 and O’Brien threatens to let rats chew his face off if he doesn’t pledge his love for Big Brother. He cracks and learns to Love Big Brother. We are nearing a point of no return in this country. Government is acquiring more power and the citizens are losing their liberty and freedom. We can either learn to love it or make a stand against it now.

Ayn Rand in her book Atlas Shrugged describes how we have slowly transformed our country into Orwell’s Oceania:

"Politicians invariably respond to crises -- that in most cases they themselves created -- by spawning new government programs, laws and regulations. These, in turn, generate more havoc and poverty, which inspires the politicians to create more programs . . . and the downward spiral repeats itself until the productive sectors of the economy collapse under the collective weight of taxes and other burdens imposed in the name of fairness, equality and do-goodism."

Study: As Banks Failed, Top Executives Earned $1.6B

Banks that got bailout funds also paid out millions for home security systems, private chauffeured cars, and club dues. Some banks even paid for financial advisers. Wells Fargo of San Francisco, which took $25 billion in taxpayer bailout money, gave its top executives up to $20,000 each to pay personal financial planners.

Based upon the mood of most Americans, these sons-of-bitches are going to need a good security system.

Mumbai Massacre Proves Gun Control Works–for Terrorists

by Bill Levinson
The recent massacre in Mumbai underscores the effectiveness of gun control laws such as those supported by Dianne Feinstein, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Michael Bloomberg, the Brady Campaign, the Violence Policy Center, and others. India’s strict gun control laws were quite effective in killing more than a hundred innocent citizens and police officers, per “India Security Faulted as Survivors Tell of Terror.”

B.S. Sidhu, head of the Railway Protection Force for the Mumbai region, says that while some officers tried to fight back, there was little his force could do. Most police officers at the station — as they are throughout India — were unarmed or carried only bamboo sticks known as lathis.

Lesson #1: Don’t bring a bamboo stick to a gunfight.

At about 9:45 p.m., two gunmen, slender and in their mid-20s, ran up the circular driveway at the entrance to the Trident. They shot the security guard and two bellhops. The hotel had metal detectors, but none of its security personnel carried weapons because of the difficulties in obtaining gun permits from the Indian government…

Lesson #2: Terrorists and criminals don’t obey gun control laws.

The three policemen armed with guns drew them. The nine others waved their bamboo sticks. Revving the engine, the car tried to U-turn but got stuck on the median. The man in the passenger seat rolled out and started shooting, killing one officer and wounding another. The surviving baton-wielding officers jumped on him, knocking him unconscious. Policemen with guns shot the driver dead.

Lesson #1, repeated: Don’t bring a bamboo stick to a gunfight.
We have seen just how well gun control laws worked out for the innocent people of Mumbai, and perhaps it is time for the citizens of New York City, Washington DC, and Chicago to learn from the example and demand the repeal of their cities’ gun laws

Here we are nearly on the eve of the most historic election in the history of the United States of America. Please think about the present, the past and the future. I sit sometimes throughout the day and wonder where this country has gone in the past 30 some years. We have changed and not for the better.

Sure, we're richer today than we were 30 years ago. We have more personal possessions and fancy cars and technology coming out our ass. We have all the food we care to eat and all of the conveniences in the world. But are we truly better off than we were 30 years ago? How about 50 years ago?

When I was a squirt we didn't have a Wal Mart to sell us an unlimited amount of plastic crap from China. Life was a littler simpler and a whole lot better. Perhaps, after thinking about it, the current financial collapse has an upside: We are due to get back to the basics--we need an enema.

For all of you Obama supporters:
I urge you to think beyond the hyperbole and lofty ideals and to remember that America is only as strong as its people. We all need to take a long hard look in the mirror when we are looking for a scapegoat.

Obama's record on the Second Amendment is as follows:

    1. He has supported a complete ban on handguns;
    2. He voted to ban most rifle ammunition;
    3. He refused to sign a brief supporting an individual right in the “Heller” case;
    4. He supported the lawsuits that were designed to destroy the firearm industry;
    5. He opposes the right to carry for self-defense;
    6. He supports gun registration (which in Germany before WWII was used to disarm the Jews and used in Australia to disarm its citizens);
    7. He served on the board of the Joyce Foundation, a rabidly anti-Second Amendment organization;
    8. He voted to allow prosecution of citizens for using firearms for self-defense in their own homes.

Watch your Federal Government closely because they are officially out of control. Lewis and Clark had better navigational tools than Paulson and Bernanke.

The American taxpayer is in big trouble as a result of this bailout. Instead of "leaving well enough alone," Central Bank officials and the U.S. Treasury had to meddle. The meddling is now in full swing and it is likely to swing the U.S. right into a depression.

Come November 4, I hope every voter chooses to throw out of office every single incumbent up for re-election. Think your Congressman is special or different?

Fed Attempting To Prevent "Great Depression II"

In order to prevent the "Great Depression II", the Fed and the Treasury have embarked on a series of measures similar in nature to those that caused the great depression.

The root cause of the great depression was the unsound lending patterns leading up to it. Those same unsound lending practices, now carried to the very limits of legality via Bernanke's alphabet soup of facilities, cannot possibly be the cure.

In retrospect, the title of this post is inaccurate. It really should read Fed is Attempting to Cause "Great Depression II."

09/24/08 - Looks like everyone is a candidate for a bailout now. I am waiting on a call from Bernanke or Paulson to help me bail myself out. Think I will get that call any day now? I am by the phone!

We are now in the hardcore middle of a fool's game. The United States Treasury cannot bail out all of these ailing companies, banks and investment houses. First off, the average house is far over-valued. Think a 2008 Chevy Truck is worth $48,000? NOT!

We are living a bloated existence. What we used to be able to do with a 1-income household now requires a 3-income household. Have you asked yourself why? I ask myself that every single day.

The answer? Well, it's not a simple answer. Greed at the highest levels of our financial structure is one answer. American taxpayer listlessness is another. There are many, many more. We (as in 'we the people') want a lot for nothing. We want a big house, iPODs, computers, Tivo, cable television, XM Radio, motorcycles, ATVs, cellular phones, cheap food, cheap home products, lawn care, etc. all for NOTHING.

That, my friends, is at the root of our problem. We are not all rich. We have made the least candidates for our hard-earned money the MOST LIKELY to receive it:

  • Hollywood
  • Professional Sports
  • Recording Artists

We--the American taxpayer--have become obsessed with everything but reality.

Take a look at the Treasury's Proposal

Illegal Immigration and the Mortgage Mess

09/24/08 - Never underestimate what the border "floodgates" have done to this country. We have tolerated illegal immigration for far too long. Some say (and probably correctly so), it is at the root of the housing market meltdown and the failure of numerous financial institutions. No one can legitimately argue with the geographical facts and the correlation between high concentrations of illegal immigrants and foreclosures. There IS a direct and statistical correlation.

So what is next? Are you paying attention to the debate in Congress about the bailout? Have you contacted your congressman and senators? If not, I urge you to burn up the phone lines, e-mail and fax machines.

You can find your congressional representative HERE

You can find your senators HERE

Let them know what YOU THINK about an ill-conceived bailout of financial houses of ill repute. Do not think for a second that the proposed bailout will not have dire consequences. We are going to pay one way or the other. In this case, it is better to PAY NOW versus paying for the rest of your life.

I am now of the opinion that our Treasury and Congress are quite prepared to condemn this country to long-term debt without a method of repayment. I would much prefer seeing a market meltdown now and help for individuals than the propping up of another public company. Not one. Investors? Who cares. You made your bed. Fat cats? Who cares--go to hell.

Oppose the Treasury's Bailout Plan

"...This proposal is an expensive boondoggle and should be opposed by all.  As one bit of evidence here, how many noticed that mortgage rates went up on the day the deal was announced?..."

-----------------------------------------

09/23/08 - Who is the Fed trying to fool here? Do they (aka Bernanke and Paulson) believe that a market collapse would actually halt our economy? This is a scare tactic and far from true. There will be "business as usual" for many segments of our economy even in the fact of a market collapse that brings down these big financial institutions.

The fact that the American economy has gravitated toward a "MEGA EVERYTHING" mentality is part of the problem. I wouldn't lose a minute of sleep over the collapse of every "mega" store, bank, lender, insurer, etc. Let them all collapse. I would far prefer to see a paradigm shift in our economy that brings taxpayer dollars closer to home. Right now all we are doing is shipping our dollars overseas.

Paulson repeatedly fielded questions from committee members asking why taxpayers should accept the burdens of a bailout.
"You worry about taxpayers being on the hook?" he replied at one point. "Guess what — they're already on the hook." Paulson suggested that the fallout from the credit crisis was so dire it would hit people in their pocketbooks unless forceful action were taken. Moreover, the flawed and outdated regulatory system, which didn't catch abuses, needs to be overhauled, he said.

Here is news for you Mr. Paulson: You are not one iota smarter than anyone else interested in these matters. This is not rocket science. This is not quantum physics. This is not mathematics for that matter. This is about SOCIAL SCIENCE. I regret that acedemia ever succumbed to moving economics to the business schools. That was a disaster.

--------------------------------------------

09/23/08 - So Now Bernanke and Paulson are threatening Congress and America with "RECESSION" if we do not authorize this massive bailout of financial institutions. I say bring it on then. We would be far better off suffering through a couple of years of hard times than 50 years of debt that de-values the dollar and ensures MEDIOCRITY for the American standard of living.

Did you read this in the Fed's bailout proposal
:
“Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.”

How interesting. So, Americans are going to finance the bailout but no one is going to be accountable!

These people will stop at nothing until the American people STOP THEM!

I would rather see the stock market crumble than bail out one more financial institution. I would rather see a massive defection from New York City and Wall Street than give them $1 to run amuck with yet again. This will only be the beginning. A $700 billion bailout is nothing combared to the severity of the problem.

Do you realize that bonuses on Wall Street last year totalled $60 billion?

-----------------------------------------

Here we go folks:

Bush asks Congress for $700 billion
for bailout

To be exact, that is $700,000,000,000. Do you ever think this debt will be paid down? How? By whom? When?

We are entering the beginning of the end of the American economy. This is no joke. We are de-valuing the dollar right now. The fat cats love this because the individual and institutional investor are paying the way. Do not forget this weekend because it is yet again momentous. We will look back on September, 2008 as the starting of another Great Depression.

It would be altogether different if the American economy still had manufacturing and produced goods. Unfortunately, all we produce is health care and money shufflers. Our economy is a fraud because this IS NO ECONOMY without the production of goods. We can produce "services" all we want but without tangible "goods" it is all for naught.

This bailout for the financial institutions will work for a while. Did you notice how oil increased to $104 at closing on Friday, September 19? Strange eh?

It's not strange at all. The EU and Asian markets are using America as pawns as well. Our elected and appointed officials are FOOLS. We are going to pay a heavy price for this bullshit.

----------------------------------------

Here is an average American's view of how to fix the "credit crisis" in America: The Congress and President need to SLAM THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES, BANKS AND MORTGAGE COMPANIES and put a CAP on interest rates!

Why do these assholes think people are falling behind? Could it be because the banks (at the expense of the American Taxpayer and free money from the Fed) borrows for 2% and charges you 29.99%? Imagine that little profit!

We wouldn't have half these problems if USURY WASN'T AGAIN LEGAL IN THE UNITED STATES!

So now the "grand plan" to save the financial institutions is having a positive effect. Wow, who is going to pay and how long is this positive effect going to last? Not long most likely.

We are putting band-aids on a sucking chest wound and no one is examing the problem. The fat cats are playing the American public while they slither out of the arena. Maybe they will all end up shacking up with Brad Pitt in the south of France.

A few comments to consider :

  1. Do not trust Congress
  2. Do not trust Wall Street
  3. Do not believe that your elected officials have an answer to anything because they are genuinely deficient of intellectual capital
  4. Do learn how to fend for yourself
  5. Do learn how to hunt and fish
  6. Do learn how to shoot a handgun, rifle, shotgun and bow
  7. Do plan ahead for living a more basic existence if necessary
  8. Do learn how to can or store food

If your elected officials had even half a brain (which they do not), the free markets would be unfettered to fix what is wrong: unadulterated greed that should lose and lose big. Do you see a bailout for you anywhere in the offing?

Unfortunately, your elected officials (and those appointed such as the Fed) are in the pocket of special interests (both Democrats and Republicans) so they do not give a damn about you. They do not even realize you exist except during an election cycle--and TAXES.

We have some serious financial problems that are not going to be resol
